Chris loves telling stories - whether it be a tragedy or comedy, for adults or children - which explains his diverse acting history. He’s performed in everything from Shakespeare to pantomime as well as new writing. Whatever the style, he will bring his creativity and energy to focus on ensuring the impact of the story on its audience is maximised.
In Control at the Arcola Theatre
His career started in Theatre-In-Education before the dream job that is Weekly Rep – seriously Old School – in Frinton! His more recent theatre work includes Control a new work as part of The Story Project at the Arcola. He also has a long-term commitment to support the Children’s Charity, Scene & Heard, which takes the form of short plays written by children from the area of Somers Town and staged by professionals. It is the most imaginative and unusual evening any theatregoer could dream of. If you can, go!
He has appeared on TV in stalwarts such as Eastenders, Casualty and New Tricks as well as featuring in the series Lock, Stock &…, and a couple of cult shows: Channel 4’s Modern Toss and the legendary one-off football comedy, Bostock’s Cup. He has appeared in sketch shows on Sky One and the chaos that was LiveTV, as well as in many commercials both in the UK and as far afield as Austria, the Czech Republic and Norway. His Radio 4 Drama work has been in classic adaptations like Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and Macbeth as well as comedies like The Attractive Young Rabbi and the institution that was Weekending – for which he also wrote sketches.
