What Chris does
Corporate and Commercial
Chris brings an essential energy to any script he is presenting. His dynamism and natural read bring a script to life whether on autocue or not. Once, when he was asked to read for a newsreader role, he was told that he had “a very cheeky left eyebrow.” Now, if a more serious reading is necessary, his left eyebrow keeps its cheekiness off set until called for.
Giving your conference the energy it deserves
When the date for an organisation’s annual conference is announced, the venue is booked within days, closely followed by the entertainment but the company’s message to the staff is far more likely to be left to the last minute along with the speakers’ presentations. Chris works to make the delegate experience quite the reverse.
telling stories with energy and creativity
Chris loves telling stories - whether it be a tragedy or comedy, for adults or children - which explains his diverse acting history. He has acted in everything from Shakespeare to Pantomime and new writing. Whatever the style, he will bring his creativity and energy to focus on ensuring the impact of the story on its audience is maximised.
from game of thrones to cliff richard
Chris is not afraid to take on any vocal challenge, be it fleeing a dragon’s wrath in Game of Thrones, creating a roaring lion for a wildlife documentary, being a grumpy bulldog for 8 Out Of 10 Cats or even the voice of Cliff Richard for Sky One’s Urban Myths. He has been called upon to bring multiple voices to several audiobooks, including classics like Treasure Island (Ben Gunn was fun).
corporate and commercial; pen and ink
Chris has been writing material practically since he could hold a pen – or at least without getting ink all over his fingers. First labelled a writer while he was trawling Comedy Corridor at the BBC back in the 80s, he has since written for TV, radio and live events and scripts for countless presenters.
PRESENTATION SKILLS COACHING
Whether it is the need to slow down, speed up, make eye-contact, or even simply breathe, Chris can help clients land their story with the most useful impact
the best quizmaster in town? Correct.
It started back on BBC Children’s when Chris hosted a TV show called Eyespy, a ‘schools quiz’ in as much as it was a team game show between schools. There were several rounds and a finale involving cold gunge if memory serves. More recently, he has been question deviser-in-chief for two Radio 5Live quizzes. The thirst for quizzical knowledgey type stuff is constant and, as such, he is a regular at the Old Dairy quiz in N4.
scripting, producing, directing, editing! Chris is the reel deal.
Whatever your project, Chris will help you get from paper to product in any and every creative way he can – indeed, even if you “don’t actually have it on paper yet”, that’s not a problem.
Chris’ miscellany
This is where all the other projects sit and where you can find everything from improvisation and bespoke pantomimes to a sideswipe at Premier league football. If you’re looking for a burst of creative energy with a topical bite, don’t improvise. Call Chris.
