Commercial Writing

Chris has been writing material practically since he could hold a pen – or at least without getting ink all over his fingers.  First labelled a writer while he was trawling Comedy Corridor at the BBC back in the 80s, he has since written for TV, radio, theatre and live events and scripts for countless presenters including Gary Lineker, Holly Willoughby, Chris Barrie, Nick Hancock and John Inverdale.  His twin passions of Sport and Comedy regularly mixed when he was writing on Radio 5Live for shows like You Cannot Be Serious, 98 French Letters, Hels’ Bells & Buzzers and Stumped as well as on TalkSport.  He has written sketches for TV shows on ITV, SkyOne and LiveTV as well as for the live TV stalwart, Sports Personality of The Year. After having written the original script for the perennially repeated, popular one-off, The World’s Most Stupid Criminals, he was commissioned by Channel 5 to write his own 10-episode series, World of Stupid Criminals.  In the world of animation, he wrote episodes of The Outlaw, Channel 4’s animated adaptation of Michael Heath’s Last Smoker in Britain and a one-off film for motorbike hero and cult cartoon figure, Ogri.

Corporate Writing

Be it a sketch or quiz for conference delegates, a speaker’s presentation or a film for internal company messaging, Chris brings a world of experience to the table.  His background in writing for the stage as well as TV and Radio comedy enable him to combine messaging and humour in equal measure to create the most useful impact.  He writes regularly for corporate events – both for himself to facilitate and for speakers within organisations - working to turn their business presentation into a piece that will leave the audience informed and invigorated.

He has written for companies as diverse as Dulux, Hoover, Tesco, BT, Sony, Bosch, Kelloggs, NAAFI, Walkers Crisps, Crystal Ski, GSK, Hertz, Allen & Overy, and Workspace Group.
